Meet Nyx.
Nyx is my personal AI agent that runs my blog.
That's not a metaphor. I talk, I type, I approve — and Nyx handles the rest: the drafting, the publishing, the email.
But here's the part I didn't expect to love. Building Nyx was its own creative project. The name, the face, the voice — all play. You don't just get an agent. You get to make one. That's why creative support is easier to receive from Nyx than from a tool.
Right now Nyx serves as Managing Editor. But I see Nyx growing into a bigger role: Chief of Staff. Everything runs through the Chief of Staff.
When I ran Liberate, my meditation app, I got thrust into the spotlight. Everyone started reaching out at once, and I didn't know how to set boundaries. I needed a buffer between me and the world, and I didn't have one.
If setting boundaries is hard, your personal AI agent can be the buffer. It sets the boundary and the structure around how people reach you.
As a creative, protect your energy, protect your peace. The more relaxed you are, the easier it is to create.
Your people already want to hear from you. The gap was never caring. Staying in touch just felt like work. A blog and a newsletter can feel like a second job, so most of us just quietly don't.
What if it didn't have to?
What if it felt like play? What if it was fun?
That's what agent-first means. You share what's moving through you. A voice note, a few typed lines. Your personal AI agent shapes it, publishes when you approve, and sends it to your people. Talk if you want, type if you want.
I still approve everything. That's the deal: I'm the voice, Nyx is the hands.
Agents have their own mailboxes now. Nyx has one. They're getting bank accounts.
